A big feature

The Pregnant Lady stands tallest on the horizon when stood next to Damien Hurst’s. Other sculptures. The piece faces away from Yorkshire Sculpture Park as to separate it from the other sculptures. As the same as the unicorn piece the artist uses vibrant colours to represent all parts of the human anatomy. The piece is very daunting when standing next to it and you understand the full size and scale. With this piece it shows a pregnant lady with a large baby inside of her, she looks as though she is just about to give birth. The lady does not show any expression on her face and does not look in discomfort but resembles more of a maniquinn or a example found in a science exhibition. I like the scale of the piece as it commands the landscape but I would of liked to see some identity to the sculpture to make the piece more true to life and realistic.
