This is the first piece in my string art collection, when using a new medium you feel like you are finding your feet to grasp the technique, but when thinking of the composition I was drawn to adding a space vibe to it and using a stencil to create the shape of a skull. The string art creates a new 3-dimensional element to my work and I found applying the string to be very therapeutic and thoughtful to the shapes that I made with the piece.
