As you can probably imagine Green is my favourite colour, so any time I can use it in a painting I will without a doubt. Using such strong colours for the background of this piece, I needed to use darker colours to help the planets punch through the composition. With the use of florescent paints the planets stand out and also shimmer when the painting catches the light.
